N,N-Dimethylaniline (CAS 121-69-7) is a methylated aromatic amine used primarily as an intermediate in dye and pigment production, as a solvent and as a building block in specialty chemical syntheses. It is typically supplied as a clear to yellowish oily liquid in grades tailored for industrial, technical and reagent applications.
Storage & handling
Store in original, tightly closed containers in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from heat, sparks and ignition sources. Keep away from strong oxidizers and acids; protect from prolonged exposure to light and air to reduce oxidation. Use closed transfer, local exhaust ventilation and suitable PPE (chemical-resistant gloves and eye protection); follow the lot SDS for spill, first-aid and emergency procedures.
