Product Description

Diethylenetriamine (DETA, CAS 111-40-0) is a multifunctional aliphatic triamine used as a reactive intermediate and performance raw material across coatings, adhesives, surfactant production, corrosion inhibitors and polymer synthesis. Its combination of primary and secondary amine functionality makes it a versatile building block for crosslinking, alkylation and condensation chemistries.

Application

  • Epoxy curing and adhesives
Reactive curing agent and accelerator in epoxy systems for coatings, adhesives and composites.
  • Surfactant and detergent intermediates
Building block for amine-based surfactants, quaternary ammonium precursors and fabric-care actives.
  • Corrosion inhibitor and water-treatment precursors
Precursor for tailored corrosion inhibitors, chelating agents and scale-control chemistries.
  • Polyamide and polyurethane intermediates
Intermediate and chain-extender in specialty polymer, polyamide and polyurethane syntheses.
  • Gas-treatment and amine scrubbing
Component or modifier in gas-treatment formulations for selective removal of acidic gases.
  • Analytical and laboratory reagent
Small-pack reagent for R&D, method development and QC.
