Product Description

Dicyclohexylamine (CAS 101-83-7) is a secondary aliphatic amine used broadly as a chemical intermediate and functional building block. Its applications include production of corrosion inhibitors, rubber and polymer additives, catalysts and specialty intermediates. Commercial material is supplied in multiple grades to meet formulation and process requirements.

Storage & handling
Store in original, tightly closed containers in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from acids and strong oxidizers. Recommended storage temperature is below ~30 °C. Use closed transfer methods, local exhaust ventilation and appropriate PPE (gloves, goggles, respirator if needed) during handling; follow the lot SDS for emergency measures and spill response.

Application

  • Corrosion inhibitor intermediates
    Used as a precursor to vapor-phase and liquid corrosion inhibitors for steam systems, boilers and metal protection.
  • Rubber & polymer additives
    Employed in the manufacture of rubber accelerators, antioxidants and specialty polymer additives.
