Allyl Methacrylate is a reactive methacrylate monomer bearing an allylic functionality. It is used to introduce pendant allyl groups into polymer backbones, enabling crosslinking, post-functionalisation (thiol–ene, radical additions) and specialty network formation in coatings, adhesives, inks and advanced polymer systems. Supplied in inhibitor-controlled grades with lot COA for polymer and formulation use.
Applications
-
Crosslinkable acrylic resins
Used as a comonomer to introduce allyl pendant groups enabling thermal or UV crosslinking and post-functionalisation. -
Adhesives & sealants
Provides reactive sites for network formation and tack/cure control in pressure-sensitive and structural adhesives. -
UV / radical curable coatings & inks
Allylic functionality facilitates rapid radical cure and provides improved adhesion and chemical resistance in UV-cure systems. -
Modified polymers & copolymers
Co-monomer for specialty copolymers offering tunable Tg, crosslink density and reactive handles for grafting. -
Surface modification & grafting
Monomer for surface-grafting applications enabling thiol-ene, ene-metathesis or radical graft chemistries. -
Functional resins for composites & coatings
Used to introduce cureable functionality into resins for composites, protective coatings and high-performance finishes. -
Laboratory and R&D reagent
Small-pack reagent for method development, pilot polymerisations and analytical qualification.
